Job Description:
Network Connections, Inc. ("NCI") is currently seeking
candidates for Sr. Low Voltage Systems Technicians in the
Mid-Atlantic Region (PA, NJ, NY, MD, VA, DE, WV, OH) to install and
troubleshoot low voltage systems, subsystems, and their supporting
structured cabling and hardware at the senior level of competency.
Pay will be based on experience and is negotiable. Interested
candidates should submit a resume and cover letter. Although NCI's
home base is located in Boswell, PA, candidates will not report to
a central office and will be dispatched directly from home. A
company vehicle will be provided at an appropriate point during
employment.

Duties/Responsibilities
Supervise work on installation projects for corporate clients,
ensuring that all work is performed safely and to company, industry
and regulatory standards while minimizing material resource
waste
Perform minor system programming and configuration tasks that
facilitate the commissioning process or scope completion
Plan, coordinate, and complete assigned jobs on time and within
budgeted resources
Utilize PC & mobile applications to receive workorders, provide job
status updates, and other required documentation in a timely
manner
Conduct pre-sale site surveys using various forms and checklists
and provide detailed discovery notes, pictures, sketches, and
drawings
Estimate labor hours, crew requirements, safety risks, materials,
and equipment needed
Effectively supervise crew to ensure their safety and maximum
productivity
Read, interpret, and implement plans, drawings, technical
instructions, schematics, specifications, details, scopes of work,
and operator's manuals
Follow and implement verbal instructions via remote technical
support and create "as-built" drawings upon completion of work as
needed
Install structured cabling and cabling support systems to provide
connectivity for audio, video, voice, and data communications
systems
Responsible for the installation, termination, and certification of
both ISP/OSP category copper, fiber optic, and coaxial
backbone/horizontal cabling
Perform minor scale ISP/OSP cable boring/trenching when needed,
troubleshoot and repair structured cabling and use diagnostic
testing and certification equipment
Construct and install network infrastructure hardware to include
enclosures, racks, cable trays/ladders/duct work, and associated
rack mounted accessories
Install, configure, test, maintain, troubleshoot and repair
distributed audio, distributed video, video surveillance, public
address, audio/video intercommunications, sound masking, panic
alarms, access control, intrusion detection, life/safety
monitoring, and audio/video conferencing systems, subsystems, and
equipment
Install, configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot network
hardware with the assistance of remote technical support and
conduct wireless signal surveys using hand-held analyzers
Maintain assigned vehicle, tools and equipment in a safe
operational condition and ensure vehicle is always equipped with
adequate truck stock materials and safety PPE
Maintain and ensure accuracy of records related to job completion
and submit required documents and records to the appropriate
administrative team in a timely manner
Communicate with customers and co-workers to facilitate completion
of work orders
Perform other duties assigned or as required
Skills/Qualifications/Requirements
Self-motivated and autonomous with regards to work duties following
initial training period
Experience with low voltage cabling and computer network cabling
(Cat6, Cat5, Coax or fiber cables) is desirable
Knowledge of computers and networks, as well as industry standards
(NEC, TIA/EIA, BICSI), is preferred
Ability to travel by vehicle for overnight stays and extended
periods of travel will be necessary with all lodging and
transportation expenses, as well as a meal per diem, being covered
by the Company
Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as
excellent customer relationship skills
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Flexibility for scheduling to meet demands of customer
requests-Including some evenings and weekends
Ability to maintain NCI's high standard of quality and
professionalism with regards to workmanship, customer relations,
coworkers, behavior, and appearance
Satisfaction of company requirements to include background
check/drug-screening
