About the Veterinary Technician - Emergency Overnight Role We are looking to add to our growing hospital and are in search of a Veterinary Technician with at least two years of experience in emergency veterinary medicine to work in our Emergency Department.
Schedule & Compensation Schedule: 8 pm - 8 am Thursday-Saturday Compensation: From $27.50/hr this includes shift differential Sign-on Bonus: $5,000
What You'll Do

• Triage - identify emergencies and illnesses
• Perform various treatments on an in-house and outpatient basis
• Anesthesia: Induction, monitoring, troubleshooting, recover patients
• Administer medications
• Assist in procedures
• Position and capture of radiographs
• Communicate with clients, and team members (verbally and written)
• Fear Free handling: safe, stress free interactions for team members, clients, and patients Requirements
  • Two or more years of experience in emergency veterinary medicine
  • Current CVT/LVT/RVT preferred or educational equivalent.
  • Broad knowledge of basic small animal medicine (pharmacology, proper restraint/handling, venipuncture, laboratory testing)
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of medical terminology, medications, and disease processes
  • Attention to detail and a calm demeanor
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, environment
