Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY: The successful candidate will have responsibility
and exposure that will include but not limited to Deskside Support,
Installations & Upgrades, Inter-department communication, project
management and leadership. Intern will assist in overseeing
internal requests by departments meet production deadlines in a
timely and cost-effective manner. Responsibilities also include
interacting with corporate teams, collaborating with internal team
members, working with external partners and working with MGR IT.
The Intern will be on the floor and potentially will interacting
with guests on the floor if IT needs require and must display good
customer service skills. Responsibilities include, but may not be
limited to the following: Provides specialized technical problem
solving and problem resolution skills. Works with management and
Enterprise IT to resolve complex business, computer system and data
communication problems. Installs, upgrades and maintains gaming
hardware & software products. Plans and coordinates all hardware
installations, changes and updates with vendors and users, adhering
to the IT Change Control Process. Recommends application design
changes to management and Enterprise IT to maximize resources.
Plans, schedules and loads new versions of the Host Platform
operating system and related vendor patches or temporary fixes as
defined in the Product Support Agreement. Provides first- or
second-level problem determination/ isolation and recovery support
for Host Platform computer systems. Collects and analyzes system
data for quality assurance of technical design and optimum system
performance. Adjusts system parameters to achieve peak system
performance. Administers systems and tools to analyze and secure
computer system programs and database files to comply with audit
and regulatory requirements. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a
computer science-related field or equivalent experience preferred
Is able to work in smoke filled environment and is able to sit and
stand for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to obtain and
maintain the appropriate license through the Pennsylvania Gaming
Control Board. Physical/Mental Demands: Physically mobile with
reasonable accommodations including the ability to lift up to 50
lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and
stack. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be
fluent and literate in English. Must be able to respond calmly and
make rational decisions when required. Must be able to tolerate
areas containing varying noise and temperature levels,
illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality. Employment Type:
