Genesis10 is currently seeking an Azure Database Engineer with our financial services client in their New York, NY location. This is a 6 month + contract and hybrid remote position. This position requires being onsite 2-3 days per week minimum.

Summary: Seeking a Azure Database Engineer.


Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines and data storage solutions on the Azure platform.
This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize data solutions to support business operations.
Design, deploy, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other Azure services.
Develop and implement data storage solutions on Azure, such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
Strong automation skills with proficiency in Terraform and scripting languages like PowerShell.
Collaborate with data platform engineers and analysts to design and implement data models and analysis tools.
Monitor and optimize data processing and storage systems to ensure performance and Scalability.
Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.
Data Visualization skills: ability to develop dashboards or reports using tools like Power BI enhances insights delivery.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and storage solutions.


Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information
Technology.
5+ years of experience working with Azure data services, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure
Databricks, and Azure SQL Database.
Strong knowledge of data engineering best practices and data modeling techniques.
Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, and/or C#.
Leverage deep knowledge across Microsoft services (Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Defender for
Cloud, Azure DevOps) to support and optimize cloud environment.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

The daily pay rate range for this position is $700 - $800 depending on experience
