dynamic legal landscape.The Associate General Counsel - Employment
provides risk-based counseling and guidance on global employment
law and adjacent matters. They serve as a key partner with other
lawyers in the General Counsel's office as well as partners and
business professionals across the firm, including the Talent
Department and Human Resources Department.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a key resource for business leaders and HR
professionals regarding multi-jurisdictional issues related to
recruiting and hiring, benefits and compensation, performance
management, discipline, and termination.
- Provide legal support for development of multi-jurisdictional
workplace policies and processes regarding compensation and
benefits, conduct, discipline, and performance.
- Draft key employee and partner agreements in a variety of
jurisdictions, including offer letters, employment agreements,
independent contractor agreements, partnership agreements, and
related documents.
- Provide counsel for global workplace related grievances,
pre-litigation claims, and litigation including investigation and
risk assessment, issue resolution, and proactive issue
prevention.
- Select and manage relevant outside counsel within budgetary
guidelines to obtain desired results.
- Collaborate with professionals from across the firm to draw on
their specialist expertise when necessary.
- Identify, design, and implement improvements in these processes
on a continuous basis in alignment with the firm's strategy, and
with consideration of metrics and data, market factors, and best
practices.
- Maintain a current knowledge of legal issues of importance to
the firm through participation in continuing legal education and
membership in appropriate bar and professional
associations.QUALIFICATIONS:
- J.D. from an accredited institution, and admission to the state
bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Minimum 10 years legal practice experience in employment
counseling and litigation in a law firm or in-house environment.
In-house experience at a multi-national law firm or corporation is
beneficial.
- Extensive experience with U.S. employment laws and regulations
and related claims/litigation. Experience with jurisdictions
outside the U.S. would be advantageous.
- Extensive experience conducting and supervising internal
investigations related to employment matters, including conducting
and managing electronic discovery.
- Extensive experience drafting a variety of workplace related
agreements and policies.
- Experience managing litigation, including managing outside
counsel.

globe.The firm offers a generous total compensation package with

program.Pay Transparency Range:The anticipated full-time annualized
salary range for New York, NY, San Francisco, CA, Los Angeles, CA,
Washington, DC: $275,000.00-$400,000.00.The salary offer will be
contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to,
relevant experience, internal equity, market data, job location,
and other job-related factors permitted by law.Qualified candidates
with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment
in accordance with the following laws if applicable: City of Los
