About the role

The purpose of this position is to lead, manage, and be responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of projects and programs, primarily in the Southeast Pennsylvania region.

What you'll do

Develops teams who are responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of projects. The Director, PMO will serve as the primary client contact and critical issue point for any staffing, bandwidth or delivery issues. May provide support in assigning resources (dedicated or variable) to projects/programs.

Responsible for training project management staff and developing process/services to support client requests and needs.

Leads cross-functional projects, end-to-end using a formal project management process. Facilitates the development of a program charter and coordinated timeline. Accountable to ensure all functions remain on schedule, that issues get called out and resolved, and that the projects are completed successfully.

Facilitates regular meetings to review project status for active and pending projects (project pipeline). Collaborates with the core team to develop solutions and lead project through implementation and completion. Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial management, contract procurement, negotiation, execution, administration, and closeouts.

Responsible for reporting status of individual and groups of projects and programs. Must be able to provide appropriate levels of detail, and also be able to summarize complex issues succinctly.

Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and mentor. Oversea recruitment and hiring of new employees.

Leads internal and external relationships in support of projects; may contract and handle vendors. May provide consultation on complex projects that integrate into an organized program.

What you'll need

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university. Minimum eight years of related experience. Minimum four years of leadership support experience required.
