The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes and equipment. Her/his duties include analyzing production workflows, developing automation techniques, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The goal is to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure high-quality production



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and develop manufacturing processes and systems.
Analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement.
Implement lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Analyze manufacturing flow and implement optimization, transformation project to optimize work stations.
Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.
Conduct time and motion studies to optimize workflow.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Train and support production staff on new processes and equipment.
Develop ROI to justify investment.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Undertake purchasing activity. It will involve selecting and qualifying suppliers, negotiating.
Lead continuous improvement projects using lean manufacturing.
Develop and maintain relevant KPI

Required Skills/Abilities:

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
1 year or more experience in manufacturing
Good understanding and experience of lean management and continuous improvement.
Experience with ISO9001.

Physical and Travel Requirements:

Physically able to evolve in a shop environment and carry equipment.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Travel requirement - 20% of the time. Position based in PA but will also support plant in Midwest.
